Zdzisław Kwapiński – fiddler from Radom; with Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa he recorded the album titled Re:akcja Mazowiecka, a winner of the Złota Baszta (Gold Castle Tower) award in 2023; he has performed as both a soloist and a band member for many years (Radom, Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Powiśle Kielecko-Radomskie)

He has been showcasing the beauty of the Powiśle melodies for years. Growing up in a family of musicians, he played at wedding parties already as a teenager. He performed with the ensemble Gotardowie and led his own band, with which he accompanied the people of Radom Land at fairs and traditional-style weddings for many decades.

He has collaborated with Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa and Warszawskie Combo Taneczne, with which he recorded two albums and appeared at the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall.

Thrice awarded at the festival in Kazimierz Dolny and a winner at multiple dance and instrument competitions, he enthusiastically passes on the folklore to the younger generations by conducting workshops, sewing folk costumes and holding dance parties in the spirit of ancient rural life.

His music, strongly steeped in tradition, never fails to excite people to dance.
