Śląski Związek Chórów i Orkiestr (Silesian Association of Choirs and Orchestras) – founded in 1910, the organisation has been influential in cultivating musical traditions in Silesia, integrating more than three hundred ensembles and holding festivals and training courses that have elevated the quality of choirs and orchestras (Katowice, Śląskie Voivodeship, Śląsk / Silesia)

The association gathers varied ensembles, such as mixed choirs and brass bands, the total membership of which is approximately 3000.

It holds festivals and presentations, conducts educational activities and workshops for conductors, documents the ensembles’ activities, publishes the quarterly Śpiewak Śląski, and collects sheet music and recordings.

The association’s operations are not restricted to music. It also builds communities and continuity of the Silesian singing movement. It has been a voice of hundreds of passionate enthusiasts – resonant and polyphonic, for more than one hundred years.
